Over 1,000 flood victims moved to nine relief centres in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, March 8 A total of 1,122 flood victims were evacuated to nine temporary relief centres (PPS) throughout the state as of 8am today.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari in a Twitter post said informed that the victims consisted of 263 families.

“Disaster management agencies continue to monitor the situation and will assist in the evacuation process,” he tweeted this morning.

Flash floods had inundated several areas in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur following continuous heavy downpours since 3pm yesterday.

Among the affected areas in Selangor include Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh, Kampung Gombak Batu Arang, Kampung Melayu Kundang and Kampung Melayu Sungai Serai, Batu Arang.
