Jualan Prihatin Rakyat to be held in four locations on Saturday, Sunday

SHAH ALAM, April 6 — The Jualan Prihatin Rakyat programme will be continued in four constituencies this weekend, says the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS).

Its chief executive officer Dr Mohamad Khairul Mohamad Razi said the programme will be held at Bukit Antarabangsa and Lembah Jaya on Saturday and Kota Damansara and Kuang on Sunday.

“The specific locations will be finalised tomorrow (today). Those living nearby are welcomed to drop by as and grab the variety of products available for sale,” he told Selangorkini yesterday.

The programme, which offers goods and produce at affordable prices, is conducted every weekend to cover 64 areas throughout the state.

The initiative is an effort by the state government to ease the people’s burden following the price hike in food items.

The programme offers chicken prices at RM12 each, fresh meat at RM35 per kilogramme, grade B eggs at RM10 per tray and mackerel fish at RM8 per pack.

The state government had, on February 27, agreed to sell four daily necessities, namely chicken, egg, meat and fish, at an affordable rate until the Hari Raya festival.

The initiative runs every Saturday and Sunday and is a continuation of the cheap sale initiative launched by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari in early February.
