MBSJ issues compound notices, confiscates equipment of unlicensed cyber cafes

SHAH ALAM, June 29 — Three cyber cafe premises were issued compound offer notices by the Subang Jaya City Council (MSBJ) for conducting their businesses without a license on June 27.

The check-up around Taman Sg. Besi Indah, Seri Kembangan was conducted in cooperation with the Sepang police.

“Three premises were inspected and three compound offer notices were issued under the Cyber ​​Centers and Cyber ​​Cafes By-Laws (MBSJ) 2007.

“Cyber center equipment including laptops, monitors, modems and closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras were also seized,” MSBJ said in a Facebook post.

One person was also arrested during the raids, with the cyber center premises immediately closed and placed under police jurisdiction.
