MPKj mobilises staff to help Baling flood victims

SHAH ALAM, July 7 — The Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) has sent its staff to help in the clean-up of homes affected by the recent floods in Baling, Kedah.

The flagging off of the flood relief mission was officiated by MPKj president Najmuddin Jemain at the Menara MPKj yesterday.

According to MPKj, the mission is an initiative by the local authority to help flood victims in the area.

“MPKj has sent a group of staff to Baling, Kedah. They will conduct clean-up missions in areas affected by the floods.

“Hopefully, their journey will run smoothly,” he said on Facebook.

The floods and water surge that occurred on Monday had killed three family members, destroyed seven houses and damaged 70 homes.
