Batang Kali landslide: MBI donates food, water to search and rescue personnel

SHAH ALAM, Dec 16 — The Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI donated food and mineral water to the personnel involved in the landslide search-and-rescue operation at Father Organic Farm in Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor.

The agency said the donation, channelled through its Corporate Social Responsibility Department, involved 30 cartons of mineral water and 100 food packs.

“May the rescue operation goes on smoothly and let us pray that the missing victims will be found safely,” it said on Facebook.

As of 1pm today, the Selangor State Health Department has confirmed that the incident had claimed 16 lives while 77 others have been rescued.

Search-and-rescue efforts are still ongoing at this moment.
