PPAS invites B40 students to borrow computers through Sepintas

SHAH ALAM, Dec 26 — The public, especially those from lower income families (B40) are invited to borrow computers under the the Selangor Basic Technology Loan Scheme (Skim Pinjaman Teknologi Asas Selangor or Sepintas) organised by the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS).

PPAS said the scheme provided 10 desktops and 10 laptops to lend with a maximum duration of 60 days.

“The service is provided to cater to the growing need of laptops and desktops which have been used as part of the learning session since the pandemic.

“The borrowing process and concept is similar to book loans, however the duration has been extended to a maximum of 60 days,” PPAS said on Facebook.

The agency said the application to borrow such facilities could be made at 50 PPAS’s branches by registering at www.ppas.gov.my/form_sepintas.

On August 2, the state government launched Sepintas, aimed to reduce the digital gap among B40 students.
