SHAH ALAM, AUG 18: Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali invites Selangor youth who is interested to apply for Peduli Siswa Special Programme and State Education Loan.
He said, the programmes are the State’s initiatives to help Selangor youths to pursue their education through scholarship and loan schemes.
“The State Government uses its wealth to facilitate Selangor youths to further their studies with scholarship schemes, loans and special gifts.
“These initiatives use the state’s revenue and empower Selangor youths. The aim is to empower them through scholarship programmes and loans,” he said.
Application for Peduli Siswa Special Programme and the interest-free State Education Fund are open on August 1 unti 31.

In the 2017 Budget, a total of RM10 million in allocated to fund Selangor children in Malaysian International Islamic University, Malaysian National University (UKM) , Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi Mara.
The programme offers convertable education loan based on academic achievement.
It is implemented as the 2017 Federal Budget has cut the higher education sector budget from RM13.38 billion in 2016 to RM12.13 billion.
