RON97 jumps 2 sen tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, Jan 3 — The petrol price for RON97 will increase by 2 sen per litre from tomorrow, selling at RM2.65 per litre, said the Finance Ministry.

Prices for RON95 and diesel will remain at RM2.08 and RM2.18 per litre, respectively.

These prices are effective from January 4 to January 10, the ministry said in a statement today.

The government is spending RM128.24 million in subsidies to retain the price cap for RON95 and diesel, the ministry added.
