SHAH ALAM, March 25 — Seri Kembangan residents have been urged to take part in the free Covid-19 community screening programme this Saturday.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the programme will be held at Jalan Medan Belimbing in Taman Bukit Belimbing, Seri Kembangan, from 9am to 4pm.

“Residents, especially those living in Taman Belimbing, Taman Juara Jaya, Bandar Damai Perdana and Kampung Baru Balakong, are encouraged to undergo the screening.

“Registrations can be done through the SELangkah (Step in Safely) mobile app using the ‘screening’ function or by logging on to screening.selangkah.my,” Amirudin said on Facebook yesterday.

On January 20, the Selangor government, through the Kita Selangor Package, had allocated RM6 million to continue the Covdi-19 screening programme throughout the state to break the chain of infection.

The free community screening programme had been held at Sections 19, 7 and 25 halls in Shah Alam; Pandamaran Jaya multipurpose hall, Klang; PJS 6 community hall, Petaling Jaya and Sungai Besar Stadium, Sabak Bernam; Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) multipurpose hall, Bandar Bukit Puchong and the Taman Batu Tiga hall, Subang Jaya.

The programme is expected to benefit a total of 50,000 people with priority given to high-risk groups such as senior citizens, the low income (B40) group as well as students in Selangor.
