By Mustakim Ramli

SHAH ALAM, May 20 — Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd has been appointed to implement the Selangor Saring health screening programme, says state executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.

She said Selgate has had the experience of running a similar programme which is the Selangor Vaccination (Selvax) Programme.

“Selgate would implement the programme in all 56 state constituencies, beginning this Sunday in Ijok,” she said yesterday.

She added that further information about the programme would be updated from time to time on social media.

Siti Mariah said this after the launch of the Selgate integrated healthcare centre at Universiti Selangor (Unisel) here.

The state government has allocated RM3.4 million for the implementation of the Selangor Saring health screening programme, focusing on providing free medical checkups for the people in the state.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the programme is expected to benefit some 39,000 people especially those at risk such as having a family history, being overweight and living an unhealthy lifestyle.
