SHAH ALAM, May 26 — Seri Setia state assemblyman Halimey Abu Bakar together with Selangor Women’s Welfare and Charity Organisation (Pekawanis) representatives visited 10 chronically-ill patients in the constituency.

Halimey, accompanied by his wife Suhatty Bakri handed over cash aid and daily necessities to the patients during the Ziarah Medik programme recently.

“The donation was distributed along with Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Zone 4 councillor Anwar Nekhan and Zone 24 councillor, Ridzuan Ahmad.

“Thank you to Pekawanis which is led by Menteri Besar’s wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad,” he said on Facebook.

Last year, Pekawanis had allocated some RM220,000 to assist chronic patients in 44 constituencies under the Ziarah Medik Pekawanis programme.

The initiative aimed to ease the patient’s burden and RM250 was given to each patient for the purpose of buying medicines and other daily necessities.
