Unhealthy air quality in Kuala Selangor, PJ, Johan Setia

SHAH ALAM, Sept 29 – Three locations in Selangor recorded unhealthy air quality readings this morning, according to the Air Pollution Index (API).

They were Kuala Selangor, Johan Setia and Petaling Jaya, which recorded readings of 152, 139 and 110, respectively, at 11am.

The air quality in Johan Setia hit unhealthy levels at 3am today, Kuala Selangor at 7am, and Petaling Jaya at 11am.

Other locations in Selangor also recorded readings close to unhealthy levels.

At 11am, Shah Alam’s API reading stood at 100, followed by 94 in Banting and 86 in Klang.

In Kuala Lumpur, It was 153 in Cheras and 132 in Batu Muda, while in Taiping, Perak, it was 106.

An API reading between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 is moderate, 101 to 200 is unhealthy, 201 to 300 is very unhealthy and 300 and above is hazardous.
