MB wishes Selangor Indians happy Deepavali

SHAH ALAM, Nov 12 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has extended his wishes to the Indian community in Selangor for Deepavali, which starts today.

In the greeting, he said Selangor is unique and fortunate as it has an intact foundation of unity.

“For the state government, the principle of justice and harmony is key to communication, so no race is excluded from Selangor’s welfare and development agenda,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.

The Deepavali celebration was also marked with the distribution of Jom Shopping vouchers for needy members of society.

“May this festival of light be celebrated with the spirit of fraternity and family. Vanakkam, En Iniya Deepavali Nal Vaalthukal!” he said.
