PKNS crowned best affordable homes developer in Asia at PropertyGuru awards

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 — The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) bagged the Best Affordable Homes Developer (Asia) at the 18th Annual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final.

This comes less than a month after it was crowned the country’s best affordable homes developer at the 10th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia.

Eastern and Oriental Bhd, Eupe Corp Bhd and Sime Darby Property Bhd, meanwhile, clinched regional titles at the grand final on December 8.

Winners from 13 property markets across Asia competed for the highest marks of excellence in real estate development, construction, architecture, and design at the finale held in Bangkok, Thailand.

According to PropertyGuru Group in a statement today, more than 50 golden statuettes were presented, a recognition for some of the region’s finest developers and their projects.

GuocoLand won the Best Developer (Asia) for the third time in the award’s history, one of five regional wins for developers from Singapore.

Meanwhile, developers from Indonesia gained eight regional wins, with PT Sinar Mitbana Mas bagging the Best Breakthrough Developer (Asia) title while parent company Sinar Mas Land and subsidiary PT BSD Diamond Development were also victorious with regional awards.

The Philippines bagged seven regional wins with Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates coming up at the top with the Best Industrial Developer (Asia) and Best Industrial Development (Asia) awards.

Developers from Vietnam received six regional wins, led by SonKim Land Corporation. It won both the Best Luxury Developer (Asia) and Best Boutique Mixed Use Development (Asia) awards.

Andaman Asset Solution won the Best Boutique Developer (Asia) award, one of six regional wins for developers from Thailand.

Salvo was named the Best Lifestyle Developer (Asia), one of five regional wins for developers from Australia.

Meanwhile, the grand final also called to attention one of the most iconic personalities in Hong Kong real estate industry, Lan Kwai Fong Group founder and chairman Allan Zeman, who received the Icon Award.

PropertyGuru Group chief executive director Hari V. Krishnan said this year’s event was a fitting celebration of the makers of change who contributed to shape tomorrow’s cities.

“From lively capitals to sprawling metropolises and well-planned townships, the future of cities in Asia is in the capable hands of these fine developers, lighting the way for a more sustainable, equitable, and innovative industry in their respective countries,” he said.

PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events general manager Jules Kay said the finest places to live and work in Asia have become shining examples of quality, which underscore that this region remains focused on raising development standards, redefining design, and revitalising economies.
