SHAH ALAM, Feb 10 — Bukit Melawati state assemblyman Juwairiya Zulkifli was sworn-in as the new political secretary to Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today.

Juwairiya, who is also the Wanita PKR Central Leadership Council member, said she received her letter of appointment on Monday and begins her duties today.

“Thank you to Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari for giving me the trust, as I am also representing the women community in shouldering this heavy responsibility.

“Even though this presents a new challenge, I am determined to strengthen the state administration under the leadership of the Menteri Besar, and thus further strengthen the Pakatan Harapan administration in Selangor,” she told SelangorKini.

Previously, the post was held by Tanjung Sepat assemblyman Borhan Aman Shah who resigned when he was appointed as the Selangor Rural Development and Traditional Village, Malay Customs, Culture, and Heritage Committee chairman.
