SHAH ALAM, Feb 28 — The state government has allocated RM33.85 million to implement two flood mitigation projects in Kuala Langat.

State executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Izham Hashim said the projects encompassed the Sungai Sijangkang Flood Mitigation Plan and the Sungai Banting Flood Mitigation Plan, both at a 13 per cent implementation status as of January 31.

“The Sungai Sijangkang Flood Mitigation Plan is slated for completion on November 22 this year, while the Sungai Banting Flood Mitigation Plan is expected to be completed on August 14,” he said during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting today.

He was responding to a query by Sijangkang state assemblyman Datuk Ahmad Yunus Hairi on the status of Kuala Langat’s flood mitigation projects.
